Well guys there was a slight dry spell on things for the past 2 days but now I just got some crazy news. Maylene and the sons of disaster have lost 3 members stating "Due to the rigors of the road Lee Turner, Scott Collum and Josh Williams are no longer in the band. We remain good friends and wish them the best of luck and continued success. As for Maylene and the Sons of Disaster we are better than ever. We are excited to announce our new members: Chad Huff, Kelly Scott Nunn and Matt Clark. They have been long time friends of ours and some are former band-mates. You might know them from their work in Underoath, Further Seems Forever, Sleeping By the Riverside and Gods. Josh Cornutt remains in the band but being a newlywed he is currently at home spending time with his wife (and writing for our next record)."
This came out of left field for everyone and fans have had mixed reviews stating the new member's images not looking like the normally bearded southern rockers leading Dallas Taylor to state "If the only reason you like us is cause of an image then we are not the band for you. There is not going to be any change in our music it will just be better than ever. So all of you who have a problem with nikes, and guys with out beards all I can say is GROW UP! Music is not a image it is our lifestyle."
New tour dates have been posted for the band as well as their warped tour dates. They have also started some pre production work on their next album. I personally can't wait to see what the new guys bring to the table and the great live atmosphere that the band is known to put on. We will keep you posted.
