New England Metalfest and Divine Heresy tour

Click here to check out the dates for Dino Cazares' (ex-fear factory) band Divine Heresy's tour dates as well as check out who they will be playing with at the New England Metalfest.

Yellowcard hiatus

Its weird to hear that a band who are   have just finished up a great successful tour turn around and go on an indefinite hiatus. Front man Ryan Key had this to say, "We are calling it an "indefinite Hiatus." After this tour, so, I don't know. It could be a year, 10 years, or 6 months. It's been an interesting time in this business and our record label. It's just. We kind of need a break.  I think it appears everything is ok on its surface but we definitely need a little bit of time to figure out our personal lives. It doesn't have anything to do with turmoil in the band. It's more of a , facing adulthood now, and we can't stay in Neverland forever. you know what I mean. I think we just need a break. Hopefully we will get back to making another record sometime, if not it may be our last but we don't really know." Well don't hold your breath Yellowcard fans because a similar band that you may know that are still on "indefinite Hiatus" are Blink 182, who will most likely not get together do to their side projects +44 and Angels and Air Waves, taking off.

Nintendo DS lookbook Spring/Summer 08

I'm not going to lie I've always secretly wanted a DS. a pink one. I would play that surgeon neat game that a friend of mine had and my boyfriends little nieces strawberry shortcake game lol

They're so much fun!
But according to a Fashionista blog reader, the DS is for immature guys.
Right after this comment was posted almost every girl that posted owned a DS.

Let me remind you these are girls are from New York city working in the fashion industry.
How awesome is that?

It makes me smile to know that video games are not being stereotyped as a typical hobby for geeks and losers.
Some of them really aren't. Really.

Any one excited about Grand Theft Auto?

My Chem's Gerard Way Speaks on the "Emo" violence in Mexico

We first hear about the violent stand offs against "Emo" kids in Mexico back in March. We posted video so you could see just how ridiculous this is. Now My Chemical Romance's Gerard Way addressed the audience at Zero Fest in Mexico City on Saturday saying. " I want to say something today before we continue. Recently we've been hearing a lot of stuff about some violence here in your country having to do with kids who want to wear black t-shirts....or some kind of bulls stuff like that. We don't want to see any fucking violence. We came here for one reason, and that's to be at the fucking rock show." Personally I think its sad that something that is meant to bring people together and for one of the last forms of enjoyment, is being taken to these extreme measures. I dealt with very similar things growing up but see it was when people were still immature and stupid and we all grew up. People just need up. what do you think? comment.

No more Warped Tour???

It seems as though Warped Tour could be gone after this last trek.  We found this from Kevin Lyman " This thing could go away. I don't really want it to go away, not only for myself, but for all the people that have been involved in this and go out there. When you have 900 people out on the road it's a pretty big economy of what's traveling down the road of busses and trucks and also the labels that are involved. So, there's a little pressure. Also, the charities involved. The problem is you're only basedon the success you had last year. I guess we had a great summer last year, but it could go away June 19th. It's stealing a quote, but you're only as good as your last show. My problem is I'm only as good as my last day."

Bullet for My Valentine Cancel last shows on ToC

Thats right they dropped off with just a couple of dates left due to bassist Jay James rushing back to the UK because his daughter was hospitalized. The Band tried to play with their guitar tech as a stand in on bass but felt it would be better to stop. We here at hardxcouture hope all is well.

RIP Dead to Fall

With their latest album released just a few months ago Dead to Fall have called it quits and it looks like there may have been a fight.
From the Band
Dead to Fall is no more. After 9 years, its time to say good-by.  There really isn't an easy way to say this, but the Dead to Fall machine broke beyond repair this last weekend. I guess the financial, personal, and emotional strains wore some of us down and caused a violent collapse. After a show in Wisconsin Logan and Chad quit this past weekend. I wont go into the whole "behind the music band break up scenario" but it was a night filled with retarded actions and words. the rest of us don't want to go through yet another major lineup change and really are just ready for a new chapter in our lives. The Super Massive Fist tour with Impending Doom, Arsonists Get All the Girls, and Sea of Treachery is continuing on without us. We have no idea if we are going to play a last show or not, but at this point there is nothing planned. Its all so surreal, I have spent a good portion of my life touring in DTF and life without it is going to be.... interesting. Its like breaking up with 4 girlfriends you work with the day your place of employment burns down. I'm going to miss it for sure.  Keep your eyes open for future projects from all of us, and make sure you go to the super massive fisting tour and check it out.

Karl as a character

So this legendary fashion designer gets his own teddy bear, then a lead figurine, and just recently a vinyl Kidrobot.
What's next?
Character in a video game?
That's right. Mr. Lagerfeld is featured as a radio DJ in Grand Theft Auto. The game is is in stores April 29th.
How often do you find a fashion junkie playing video games?
This is where the bfs come in handy.. lol
I never thought I'd say this but, I can't wait to play Grand Theft Auto!
In other Karls news, a Metalocalypse episode appears to have a character maybe based on Karl. The episode is called Dethfashion. At about 2:33 minutes into the episode, you will see the designer that, I think, looks a lot like Karl.
What do you think?

Rock and Republic

So I've gotten into this habit of looking for menswear every time I go shopping online or into a store. (reason being my fashion foward boyfriend)
While I was in Rock and Republic's website I found these!
I think they're pretty awesome and I thought I'd let you guys know. Maybe they might fit as good as girl jeans that guys like to wear because for some reason some of these stores and designers won't catch on that some guys perfer a slimmer fit. This goes for jeans and t shirts.

Taste of Chaos

The day was beautiful. The weather was nice and of course some of the finest ladies in Texas showed up. But a small portion of the ladies out to support some of the bands were highly tawdry.

A serious case of fashion faux pas took place yesterday. This young girl, who wasn't older than 24 years old, decided that see through pasties were quite appropriate for this event. And even though some perverted guys really enjoyed this wrestling porn star look a like, it is not cute.

I think that see through pasties are only suitable for
A. Strippers INSIDE the strip club
B. Girlfriends and Wives entertaining the partner, male or female.
C. Porn stars in action.
That's it ladies.
Don't wear it and then wonder why every guy is hitting on you. 99.9 percent of them are after that one thing you're making them think of by flaunting your breast.
If you want to get laid, go ahead, I'm not saying you can't be a slut, but please don't make others have to see that. It's so unnecessary.

I'm sorry, see through pasties are not in this season.

On a lighter note.
Zacky Vengeance looked handsome on stage. He wore a white button up, long sleeve with a bright red bow.
Simplistic and classic.
Minus the 20 bras hanging on his mic stand..., classic for a rock concert/band member, definite trashy for the girl leaving the venue bra less.

Interview with Treaty of Paris' Dan

How is the tour so far?
"It's going really well I think we were hoping it would go well and its going way better than we anticipated, we are winning over new fans every night, playing great crowds and getting along with all the bands, you couldn't ask for a better tour."

More importantly how was the Austin show lol ?
"That was one of our favorite tours on the whole shows. We had been to Emo's previously, we went to SXSW last year, it was a venue we were all excited about playing one day so when we actually played that it was kinda our real goal to play [ Emo's] venue. It was fun the whole format of half indoors half out doors. We really enjoyed the Austin show a lot. As far as the audience reception and CD's we sold was really well."

I hear about you guys more and more how is that?
"Well first of all we are ecstatic to know that more and more people are hearing about and talking about our band. Its always a real pleasure when we talk to people and they don't know who we are and we say "oh we are in Treaty of Paris" they are like oh we heard of you or I have seen your band, that makes us happy."

How well do you keep in tour with your fans?
"As far staying touch with our fans we try and stay really accessible to anyone who wants to try and get a hold of us, our myspace profiles and personal profiles are accessible through the bands myspace. We check our myspace ourselves and write back to every single person that emails us, we leave comments for people and all that. We have our screen names up on the site and we will go on aim and talk to the fans. We want to know what they're thinking, we want to know whatever questions they want to ask us."

I can see that with you guys doing that now.

Since we are a fashion/music site. Is there a place that you have to go shop or stop by?
"A lot of times when we have a day off and don't have too much to do we almost always find a bowling ally to go bowling at night, which is actually what we did last night. There was also an Urban Outfitters near the area and we all shop there, so if there is an Urban Outfitters then one of us if not all of us will try to stop by there and get some clothes and we also like stopping at thrifts stores and if there is an American Apparel then I probably will stop there."

Did you get to go to the ones here in Austin?
"We really didn't get a chance to shop, we played the show and just ate at Best Worst."

What do you guys like to bring on tour, like something you can't leave home without?
"I know all of us are all wired to the internet. So we all have our laptops and that's pretty much a must have for messages and we are constantly taking video with our little cannon power shot cameras, and we are constantly taking video of our selves whether its our merch guy Mike taking footage of us playing or us just goofing around, every week we are uploading our footage."

Is there a band that you would love to tour/play with?
"Yea sure, right now we are just trying to stay on the road and tour as much as possible so pretty much any band that is tour we will tour with but our fantasy tour would be, we are all huge fans of Jacks Mannequin, we love to tour with Andrew and those guys at some point. Honestly these last two tours with spill canvas have been great, they are great guys we love touring with them and Play Radio Play. We played with Motion City Soundtrack and we are huge fans of them so its always fun to open for them and then go watch their set and we get all geeked out."

Where do you find inspiration?
"It's very mixed, we are all into very different stuff. I know we were all at our hotel and we were all on a big kick of listening to old Sevendust records so we were all trading the songs around going through the tracks we like. Our drummer Chris is really into Everytime I die so he is trying to get us into that, I am into this new record from Kate Nash, its really good. as far as up and coming stuff we all really like The Rocket Summer, Thrice, Say Anything all that kind of stuff."

Right now, what are you listening to on your ipod?
"Last time I was listening to the new Play Radio Play record, Dan from Play Radio Play gave us all the record and we are all becoming fans of it. I have been on this nirvana kick, listening to alot of In Utero."

I know your album came out in September, are you guys going to keep touring for it or hit the studio soon, have you guys already started writing?
"Yea we have already writing songs for the new record, its kinda like a constant process. As soon as we got back form recording last summer we pretty much started writing and came up with new ideas to build up our song bank so we can have alot of choices for the new record which we will probably start recording next year. Right now the main focus is just promoting this record touring and touring just staying on the road as long as possible winning over more and more people with our live show since that seems to be working the best."

This is fairly new blog site, any words of wisdom?
"I am glad you didn't ask the typically "how did you get your band name thing" so I really appreciate that. There is so much time on the road when your waiting around doing nothing so when we get to do interviews it always fun when the questions are fun and and creative. Because we are all sitting in a van 24/7 so we are all kind of loosing our minds so anything to lighten the mood is cool and fun. So keep the questions light and fun."

Any last words.
"Thanks for checking out the interview and check out our myspace at myspace.com/treatyofparis"

McDreamy and Avon?

I think I speak for every sane girl when I say that this man is flawless.
We loved him in Sweet Home Alabama for his sincere love for the country girl who just want right for him. (and because he looked absolutely amazing)
We, then fell IN love with him in Grey's Anatomy
And in the beginning of the year 2008 it was confirmed that he was going to be Donatella's front man for Versace menswear. I mean, what else could you ask for.
He is now posing for a (as of now) unnamed men's fragrance that launches later this year in November. He signed a multiyear deal with what has been metioned to be worth $5 - $6 million dollars.
“I felt comfortable going with Avon because my wife has such a great relationship with them. I wasn’t going into something blindly,” said Patrick Dempsey.
